How we use cookies and protect your privacy

Nothing new since: November 8, 2018

Cookies, anyone? Please do accept ours. This website uses analytics and performance cookies baked by Squarespace and Google Analytics, so we can better understand what kind of figs come to our website and what are y'all doing here. We don't know who does what though, we look at aggregated data and then obsess over low readership and engagement numbers. You should really tell your friends about this website, and get better at reading long-form content on the internet!

Jokes aside (but, please, do share!), we do not process any personally identifiable information. As it’s common, your IP address is processed by Squarespace and Google Analytics servers, but we do not use that information to identify you.

If you do not like cookies and this sort of things, please check your browser's privacy settings or use an add-on like Privacy Badger. After all, we're all adults here and this way we don't have to annoy you with cookie disclaimers, k?

Privacy Notice

Speaking of privacy, we have an Unbricked Fig newsletter for all the cool figs that want to follow our work here. If you're going to subscribe, you'll have to provide us with your email address. We use MailChimp to process your email because we like the fact that they make it easy to unsubscribe and re-subscribe. Plus, their post-monkey is pretty cool and gives us useful info on whether you even read our emails.

So, if you ever change your mind, you can unsubscribe on your own. If you need help or want your email completely deleted from our MailChimp account, please email us at hello [at] unbrickedfig (dot) com. We do not share your email address with third parties, and won't do that even if they try to bribe us with bricks (or money). When you decide to subscribe to our newsletter, we do store your email until you decide you never want to hear from us again. If you ever want to check what information we have on you, send us an email at hello [at] unbrickedfig (dot) com, and we'll reply within a month (often earlier, but don't sue us if we're on vacation). (Note: If you never subscribed to our newsletter, we do not have your email. Unless you wrote to us on your own.)

We'll regularly maintain this page, so you can always check the latest info about how we handle your personal information.

If you want to know more about your individual rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this is an excellent resource. We don't speak legalese as well as those figs, so just head over to their website to learn about your rights. If you think we should add any additional info to this page, please do let us know.
